Hi, I'm Casey Hokanson. I've spent the last 10+ years working in IT, building practical tools and untangling complicated systems. I like software that does one job well instead of trying to do everything at once.

I got interested in crypto a while back and went looking for a trading bot that was simple and focused, something I could run on my own machine without handing over a monthly subscription for a stack of features I'd never touch. Most of what I found was either overpriced, overcomplicated, or built around settings I didn't need. So I built my own.

Momentum-Trader started as a personal project: a local app that could watch Kraken markets, test strategies, and manage trades from a dashboard I actually understood. Once it was working well for me, it seemed worth sharing: a straightforward momentum bot without the noise, the subscription, or an overwhelming settings page.

My goal with Momentum-Trader is to keep it focused, transparent, and practical: something you can run locally, understand what it's doing, and stay in full control of your own Kraken account.
